Bobby Lynn Shehorn

A fourth-generation Texan born in the town of Temple, Bobby Lynn Shehorn is a former member of Tannehill Lodge No. 52, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, the oldest Masonic Lodge in Dallas, Texas. A Past Master and Endowed Member of Jewel P. Lightfoot Lodge No. 1283, also in Dallas, and Affiliated Past Master of Parsons Lodge No. 222 in Austin, Brother Shehorn is a certified Masonic Ritual Instructor and Lecturer in the Blue Lodge. He received his 32° in the Scottish Rite Valley of Dallas.

He has been published in the Texas Mason, the Grand Lodge of Texas' periodical and, as a Full Member of the Texas Lodge of Research, is a contributor to several volumes of its Transactions. Brother Shehorn is a corresponding member of the Quatuor Coronati Lodge No. 2076, the Masonic Research Lodge of the Grand Lodge of England. An article by Bobby Lynn Shehorn has recently been published in the Philalethes, the renowned, national Masonic research magazine of the Philalethes Society.

He wrote, produced, and directed Reenactment of the First Meeting of Masons in Dallas, Texas, May 11, 1849, which was performed on the 150th anniversary, May 11, 1999, at the Dallas Masonic Temple. Opening speaker for the First Annual Dallas History Conference in October 1999, Mr. Shehorn has been a guest speaker for many organizations and public events, including the Dallas Landmark Dedication Ceremony for Pioneer Cemetery, May 25, 2003.

Back near his native home, Bobby Lynn Shehorn lives with his wife, L.A., in Austin, Texas.
