Tannehill Press is a startup book publisher and wholesale/retail distributor, distributing one current book title: Pioneer History of Dallas, Texas: A Masonic Perspective, 1848-1874, by Bobby Lynn Shehorn. The name for this company was inspired by Wilkins Tannehill, a prominent citizen and mayor of Nashville, who distinguished himself as Grand Master of Masons of Tennessee for several years. A close friend of Pres. Andrew Jackson, Past Grand Master Tannehill was an author and publisher of a Masonic manual that was the standard of many lodges in the mid-nineteenth century. Tannehill Lodge No. 133, in Gainsboro, TN; and Tannehill Lodge No. 52, in Dallas, TX, are also named for this illustrious Brother.
